SUMMARY:36th Annual Meeting of the Society for Virology (GfV 2027)
DESCRIPTION:The 36th Annual Meeting of the Society of Virology (GfV 2027) will take place at Johann Wolfgang Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main\, Germany\, on Westend Campus (Theodor-W.-Adorno-Platz 1\, 60323 Frankfurt a.M.) from March 1 to March 4\, 2027.  \nThe meeting will cover a wide range of topics in basic\, translational\, and clinical virology. The program will feature keynote lectures by leading experts\, as well as workshops and short oral presentations. This year\, the focus is on key topics including virus evolution\, emerging and reemerging viruses\, virus-host interactions\, structural virology\, immunology and vaccinology. \nThere will be many opportunities for networking\, discussion\, and idea exchange between sessions\, at the poster area\, and during the social events. In addition\, a platform for young virologists represented by the “junge GfV” (jGfV) is provided. \nAbstract Submission Deadline: 6 December 2026\nEarly Bird Deadline: 1 February 2027
